CONSULTING FOR INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION
Michele L. Jackson is an attorney and consultant for international adoptions. She has focused her legal practice in the area of international adoptions and currently teaches in this legal field at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. Ms. Jackson’s services will assist you in developing a new international adoption program for your agency or organization. She is available to assist attorneys, adoption agencies or non-profit organizations. She has several adoption programs that have already been developed and is available to assist you in developing a one or these programs for your organizations or in a new country of your choosing. Ms. Jackson can develop a consultation proposal for your organization that addresses your specific needs.
An initial consultation fee to set-up program:
Guatemala: $900.00
China: $400.00
Ukraine: $900.00 (program currently on hold)
Vietnam: $400.00
Haiti: $400.00
After the initial training and development of the program for your organization, you will be required to use Michele L. Jackson as your consultant on your first four (4) adoptions (based upon your consultation agreement).
Consultation fee per adoption:
Guatemala: $1,200.00
China: $500.00
Ukraine: $1,200.00 (program currently on hold)
Haiti: $500.00
Viet Nam: $500.00
Michele L. Jackson’s consultation includes:
- Country specific Adoption Program guidebooks written and assembled by consultant.
- Providing services of consultant’s in-country staff (individuals that consultant has met and developed a relationship with through correspondence and trips in country - facilitators, interpreters & attorneys).
- Any up-dated information about country’s adoption laws or procedures (time period of up-dates to be determined based upon Consultation Agreement).
- Training on specific country and the country’s process.
- Takes you step-by-step through process.
- Review of dossier documents.
- Available for questions regarding process.
Does not include authentication process. If you would like for the consultant to have the dossier authenticated there is an additional fee of $350.00 for the service, plus any authentication fees and postage fees.
Adoption Seminars:
Michele L. Jackson is available to give international adoption seminars. If you would like for her to present an international adoption seminar on behalf of your organization/agency, she would request compensation for her travel expenses, seminar materials, $25.00 per hour of travel time and $200.00 for the seminar time (seminar approximately 2 hours).
